This is done to simplify the work with the camera. Instead, you need to insert a micro SD card up to 32 GB class 10 (not included), select a shooting mode and insert it into an electrical outlet.

To increase reliability this camera does not have any battery in design. So it must be plugged in an electric socket to work.
