Question:
If you use the camera indoors, is there a way to turn off the camera while you are home?
Answer:
Two things:
1) If you plan on ONLY using it indoors, then go with the NEW cheaper $60 Ring camera. It is intended for indoor use only AND still uses the old motions zones instead of the motion arch. Plus it offers all the same benefits as this camera (except it is indoor use only).

Yes it will still work. The blue light is really terrible — it lights up the whole room and wakes up our child. If you’re using this to protect your house it just alerts the bad guy that there is a light. I don’t really see the point of not being able to turn it off in the software. How long does the battery last with one charge?
Answer:
I have had this camera since February 2021. I use this one indoors and it’s on away mode 24/7. My battery life is usually 21-30 days at a time. I haven’t purchased spare batteries but that’s not a terrible idea so you’re camera is never not in use. I am waiting on shipment of two more for outdoor use. I love my Ring ca… see more
